All of our classrooms, age 3-15, are included in our Accredited School status through the American Montessori Society (AMS) and through AdvancED/SACS. We are committed to serving as a model public Montessori school to help fully implemented public Montessori education become a reality for more children across the nation.
Lakeland Montessori is expanding and adding classrooms! Our new elementary building will open in August 2018!
We have an immediate opening for a Lower Elementary assistant teacher (grades 1, 2, and 3) assistant teacher.
We also have a opening for an Early Childhood assistant teacher (age 3, 4, and Kindergarten) and a Lower Elementary (grades 1, 2, and 3) assistant teacher. This position will begin August 7, 2017.
The Early Childhood assistant teacher applicant will be mentored to prepare for becoming the lead teacher of our third Early Childhood classroom in August 2018.

The salary will match the local school district permanent substitute pay rate, which is $12.00 per hour, if the applicant hold’s a Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
- We offer $546 per month for health care expenses, excellent retirement, 10 days of paid leave, summers and holidays off (our calendar mirrors the local school district calendar)
- If applicant does not already hold teacher certification from AMI, AMS, NCME, or a MACTE approved training program for Lower Elementary, Lakeland Montessori Schools will consider sponsoring applicant for training through a MACTE (Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education) approved Montessori teacher training program.

Positions available for application are Early Childhood (age 3-6; grades PreK3, PreK4, and KG), Lower Elementary (age 6-9; grades 1-3), Upper Elementary (age 9-12; grades 4-6), and Secondary (age 12-15; grades 7&8). Salaries and benefits are highly competitive with the Polk County School District as we adopt the PCSB salary schedules. Current Polk County employees are not required to resign from the school district’s employment.
